Dr. Sarah Asks some important questions of interest to Beaverton residents - Chiropractor Beaverton Dr. Sarah Asks...

Where do most Beaverton residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Beaverton newborn.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Beaverton parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.

Your First Visit to Our Beaverton Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

On your first visit you will be greeted by our front desk staff, likely Aimee or Rachel. If you have not filled our your paperwork already, they will give you the paperwork to begin filling out (please arrive early if you need to do paperwork). You can expect the first visit to last about one hour.

This is the information gathering visit where we will discuss your concerns and what you have going on. I will do a comprehensive neurological, orthopedic, nerve assessment, postural and spinal exam, to locate the cause of your problem or concern.

At the end of the first visit, I will have a good idea if you are a candidate for chiropractic care or if you would be better served elsewhere.

Some patients begin care on this visit, some will need to get x-rays prior to beginning care. If this is the case, then care will begin on you next visit. Every patient is different and has different needs. My recommendations for you will be based upon your needs.
